To understand the potential and power of omniphysical life we need to take an information approach. An information field is a realm of information content that is of its own kind and cannot be reduced to or expressed in the information terms of any other information field. For nearly fourteen billion years there were only two information fields: the quantum and the physical. The information of the quantum information field exists in the possibilities for information existing in orderly physical entities; it consists of the possibilities for orderliness in physical reality.

The information of the physical information field exists in the orderliness of physical actualizations; it is the information inherent in physical form and function. It is only in the last moment of evolutionary time that a new information field has developed in tandem with the emergence of our species. That is the descriptive information field whose information exists as meanings as part of a symbol-based descriptive system. The informational power of this field enables mind, an aware, self-aware, and powerful self who exists solely in descriptive information terms.

It is mind that has made us powerfully-intelligent and allowed our species to gain dominion. But we are still replicates whose needs and desires cannot be sustained on our tiny planet. But then we discover that as a descriptive information entity mind can be supported omniphysically, enabling individuals to adapt and command their physical nature, revolutionizing the power of life. 

 

An omniphysical person is one whose mind can move from its current body to a newly built one and another and others. Omniphysical individuals can determine their physical nature by the ability of the mind to move to and command alternative bodies. Omniphysical individuals can command the nature of their materiality.

My mind is me, the powerful self of my self-awareness, identity, intelligence, autonomy, command, and persistence. A body is essential but not a particular body. Our current bodies can be replaced by ones of ultimately greater capability.

Omniphysical life is possible because mind and body exist in separate and distinct information fields. Mind is a powerful descriptive self that can be supported omniphysically by any number of physical means. It can move from body to body. The fact of information fields allows us to resolve the nature of our conscious experiences.

We human beings are life’s only two-field creatures, existing in the information terms of both the physical and descriptive information fields. Each field enables a self in its information terms: body is the self of the physical field and mind is the self of the descriptive field. Due to the different information nature of the two fields, each self thinks, is conscious, and conserves information in entirely different information terms. Most profoundly, each field gives rise to its own means of life’s persistence. Life confined to the physical information field can only persist through replication. But the advent of mind and its ability to move from body to body brings an end to death, allowing life’s persistence to be vested in omniphysical individuals. As well, the ability of mind to move from body to body allows individuals to command their living materiality, revolutionizing the power of life.

As omniphysical, we are able to end death, make each person safe from harm, supplant scarcity with a material plenty, save and sustain our planet of life, and enable life in cosmic dimension. Omniphysicality would revolutionize our personal lives, opening opportunities and experiences far beyond what is now possible.

The significance of omniphysical life is so far-reaching that its impacts are best understood from four different perspectives: its scientific significance; its impacts on our current world of life; its implications for life’s possibilities writ large; and its ability to fulfill our most exalted religious and existential aspirations.

A person becomes omniphysical by conserving their essential content of mind and other information of life which is then made operational in a newly built body. The numerous accomplishments to become omniphysical are within our collective reach.
